Typeface
Rationale for choosing Roboto as main typeface for this project:
-
Website uses Google Sans as the main typeface.
-
Google Sans is heavily inspired by Roboto.
-
Roboto is free and open-source.
-
Roboto is considered as an email-safe font for marketing newsletters, transactional emails and Gmail.
Design System
From browsing through the company's assets including the website and instagram profile, I was able to put together a living design system tailored towards email newsletters.
Medium Fidelity E-mails: 25% Annual Discount Offer
By using ChatGPT and a detailed prompt, I was able to put together a well-structured e-mail layout consisting of relevant, dedicated content (image, copy) that is truly effective to Rigel's specific demographics.
Medium Fidelity E-mails: 30% Holiday Theme/Vibe
By using ChatGPT and a detailed prompt, I was able to put together a well-structured e-mail layout consisting of relevant, dedicated content (image, copy) that is truly effective to Rigel's specific demographics.
High-Fidelity Modules
Using combination of the design system and medium-fidelity version of the emails, I was able to produce variations of each modules. Hero Image modules contain 2 versions, one representing 25% annual discount offer, the other representing 30% holiday theme.
Final Design: High-Fidelity Templates
Using combination of the design system and medium-fidelity version of the emails, I was able to produce the high-fidelity templates of both versions of the emails. My goals included:
-
Overall clean, minimalistic, eye-catching design.
-
Well-organized structure, hierarchy, legibility throughout the entire design.
-
Benefits are clearly stated, CTA button are clear and invite immediate action.
-
Consistent branding, while distinctive between each e-mails.
-
Types of hero images used were directly referenced from the ChatGPT's response.
